Soapbox Moment: Recycling - Am I bovvered?

The number of people who can’t be bothered to recycle is shocking. Most councils now provide dedicated bins for collecting recycled waste. Although most councils don’t recycle everything, they do recycle quite a lot and there’s no excuse to not recycle.
You can usually recycle paper, cardboard, aluminium and tin cans. Some councils also provide recycling for garden waste, plastic bottles and glass, though its unusual to get all three of those for any given council.
Really, is it any effort to put some waste in a different bin? Perhaps collect some of it in a plastic bag to avoid going out to the main bin all of the time, but still, really easy.
If you think what would happen to the world if everyone adopted that same pathetic attitude? Think of the police, nurses, fire services, ambulance crews, charity volunteers, teachers, and many others who earn a low wage, but still dedicate their working lives to helping others. And you can’t be bothered to put plastic bottle in a different bin?
Everyone needs to do their bit, as the planet is rapidly dying. Probably too late to save it completely now, but we can certainly get into good habits and start to reverse some of the damage we’ve done in the last 100 years!
Am I bovvered? Well, actually, yeah I am!
